Motivation:

My understanding of hands on learning is that it generally comes from new experiences. Moments, in which, we have the opportunity to make new intellectual connections. These moments, especially when shared with fellow learners can shape our perspectives and our understanding of the world.

While brainstorming on how I could complete my task, I decided that one thing that could be helpful for a group of remote learners is to speak with people whose perspectives and general well-being were different from their own. Initially, I thought that this might be a few different groups of people. However, I think that an inmate population could provide a very interesting perspective on well-being in remote study.

I think that doing something fun, like a Zumba class, would help students to stretch themselves outside of their comfort zones while experiencing something they never have before from the comfort of their own homes.

Some of the best learning that I have ever done has come from situations where I found myself: curious, creative and a little uncomfortable.
